Contractor walkthrough
Two local flooring companies inspected the gym. Work can be done in 10 days over summer break.
The story
About this campaign
Our gym was built in 1987 and the floor has never been fully refinished. Boards are lifting near the bleachers, two of our six hoops can't be raised or lowered, and last winter a student rolled an ankle on a cracked board.
We want to fix it right:
- Sand, repair and refinish the full hardwood floor with new game lines
- Replace two broken hoops with height-adjustable systems for younger grades
- New wall padding under both baskets
The gym is used every single day for PE, recess on rainy days, assemblies, the basketball and volleyball teams, and community events. A safe floor matters for everyone.
